Established missionaries who need a new sending organization
Established Missionaries
Sometimes missionaries already serving need to find a new mission to be their sending agency. We welcome your inquiry if you have attempted to leave your current mission with a good relationship. If you want to continue in your current ministry role, or be involved in a new ministry, we will need to know if a partnership agreement wherever in the world you will serve can be established between TBT and the other ministry, if needed. Since you have proven service, TBT would ask that you do the following steps. Feel free to call us for a conversation before completing the application.
Translators, If you are already assigned by another agency to a language project we are happy to be your sending agency and second you to your current project. Unless you are invited by another lead translation agency partner to serve in a New Testament project, TBT missionaries serving in language projects serve in New Testament Revisions or Old Testament translation projects.
Having trouble funding a New Testament revision or Old Testament translation project?
TBT would be happy to have you list your Bible Translation project with us so your ministry partners can give to help your translation project proceed and help you grow the partners praying and giving to your project.
Let’s Get Started! Follow these steps:
- I have read the Financial Considerations. [Gary, can we add a link or button to send them to: https://tyndalebibletranslators.org/financial-considerations/]
- I’ve read/prayed over Romans 1:1-32, Romans 13:1-14, I Timothy 5:22, Titus 3:8-11.
- I can abide by these above verses. [ Do you struggle with these? See NOTE below!]*
- I do agree to and can sign the TBT Statement of Faith? [ Gary can we add a link or better a button to send them to the “About Us” and then “Statement of Faith” here?? https://tyndalebibletranslators.org/about-us/#StatementofFaith]
- I have talked with my pastor or key supporters over this need to change sending organizations.
- Call us with your questions and then please complete the application:
Established Missionaries — those who have served as a full-time missionary, your application is Continuing Missionary Tyndale-BT-Application 2025. [Gary can we put the pdf to download here?]
*NOTE: Addictions can be more than substance abuse or sexual addiction. Satan will do ANYTHING to distract you from God and serving others. The standards that overseas missionaries need to live by are higher than other believers.
Since TBT works with church leaders in local and national churches, we need mature Christians to work with local people as Bible translation facilitators. Serving alongside national Christians means that we may need to give up some of our rights.
For example, in Papua New Guinea (PNG), drinking alcohol is viewed as a sin by most Christians. This means that if you serve with Tyndale in PNG, you will agree not to drink alcohol while you are anywhere within the country’s border.
After you read and pray about the Bible passages above, if you have struggles in any of these areas, then please do not yet apply to Tyndale Bible Translators, until you and your pastor are convinced you are ready.
