Binumarien

Binumarien Translation Project (Papua New Guinea)

The Binumarien language, spoken by approximately 800 people across one main village and several hamlets, was featured in the book Hidden People. The New Testament, first published in 1984, remains actively used in local churches. The community continues to express a strong desire for a complete Bible.

Tyndale is partnering with SIL and the Binumarien people to fulfill this vision. The goal is to complete the Old Testament in the coming years and to revise the New Testament to better serve the current generation of speakers.

We are grateful for your support, which equips the team with essential tools—such as solar panels, batteries, and computers—that help accelerate the translation process.
