Alisha

Alisha is currently serving in Member Care and TCK family support with SIL and Tyndale. Alisha has been a licensed counselor since 2017 and previously worked in community mental health and non-profit Christian organizations providing counseling for children, families, couples and individuals. She has experience working with people experiencing depression, relational conflict, interpersonal trauma, and other challenges. Alisha loves to support people in strengthening their identity in Christ, navigating cross-cultural dynamics and discovering how to thrive in their ministry. She also has a heart for children and uses play therapy to help kids process big changes and challenges.

God gave Alisha a passion to serve internationally when she was in high school on a trip in Chile and realized the vast and powerful ways God moves around the world. As she served in various internships in Latin America and Africa, she sensed God confirming her call to serve long-term and participate in God’s redemption for all people. Most recently Alisha spent time equipping and supporting refugees through personal challenges and spiritual formation for 4 years in Europe. Alisha previously served in Brazil working with youth and a homeless from 2012-2013.

Alisha and her husband, Emmanuel, love hiking, cooking and worship and are thankful to journey together.

Alisha prays that all people will experience the comfort and grace of God and know that God is not far from them, promises to strengthen them, meet them in their need and reveal His glory. Isaiah 41:9-10, 17-20

“[God] comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.” 2 Corinthians 1:4
